La cantautrice norvegese Sigrid, vincitrice del BBC Sound 2108, dopo il suo apprezzato album di debutto Sucker Punch, ritorna con un nuovo singolo. Mirror è il titolo del nuovo travolgente brano pop della ventiquattrenne e sta riscuotendo grande successo. Nato durante un viaggio di ritorno da Los Angeles, l’inedito è stato scritto essenzialmente al pianoforte, pensando alla ripresa (dopo pandemia) dei festival dal vivo. Con l’aiuto di Emily Warren e la collaborazione di Caroline Ailin e del produttore Sly (Sylvester Sivertsen), la canzone è stata poi ultimata in Danimarca.
La cantante, autrice della hit dedicata alle donne Don’t Kill My Vibe ed inserita nel primo album del 2017, con Mirror (che in inglese significa Specchio) parla dell’amore per se stessi quando finisce una relazione. Nel ritornello, infatti, canta “Amo chi vedo che mi sta guardando allo specchio” e continua dicendo “Mi sono appena innamorata della persona nello specchio”.
