Durante la quarta serata del Festival di Sanremo 2025, Giorgia e Annalisa si esibiscono insieme interpretando “Skyfall“, celebre hit di Adele. La serata delle cover è una tradizione del Festival in cui gli artisti in gara propongono brani celebri, sia italiani che internazionali, spesso accompagnati da ospiti speciali.
Per questa serata Giorgia, che partecipa al Festival con il brano inedito La cura per me, ha scelto di unirsi alla voce di Annalisa per esibirsi all’Ariston nella serata dei duetti di venerdì 14 febbraio.
Skyfall è la canzone interpretata da Adele per la colonna sonora del film Skyfall (2012), il ventitreesimo capitolo della saga di James Bond con Daniel Craig nei panni dell’agente 007. Il brano è stato scritto dalla stessa Adele insieme a Paul Epworth, che ha anche curato la produzione.
Il brano è un pezzo orchestrale, epico e avvolgente, caratterizzato da un’intensa orchestrazione curata da Thomas Newman, che ha composto anche la colonna sonora del film. Riprende le sonorità tipiche delle classiche canzoni di Bond, come Goldfinger di Shirley Bassey, con un’atmosfera cupa, elegante e un crescendo emozionante. La voce potente di Adele regala un’interpretazione drammatica e intensa. Il singolo è stato un enorme successo ed ha ottenuto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti.

Significato
Il testo di Skyfall è misterioso e malinconico, perfettamente in linea con il tema del film. Parla di caduta, sacrificio e rinascita, elementi centrali nella trama di Skyfall, dove Bond affronta il proprio passato e la sua stessa vulnerabilità. La frase “This is the end, hold your breath and count to ten” che significa “Questa è la fine, trattieni il fiato e conta fino a dieci”, apre la canzone con un senso di resa e accettazione del destino, mentre il ritornello potente sottolinea la forza nel rialzarsi anche di fronte alla fine.
